The kīla is used as a ritual implement to signify stability on a prayer ground during ceremonies, and only those initiated in its use, or otherwise empowered, may wield it. The energy of the kīla is fierce, wrathful, piercing, affixing, transfixing. The kīla affixes the elemental process of 'Space' to the Earth, thereby establishing an energetic continuum. The wheel of Dhamma has represented the Buddhism Gautama Buddha 's teaching and walking of the path to Enlightenment, since the time of early Buddhism. It is also connected to the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. Together, these tools protect and empower on the path to enlightenment.
